On my '15 4runner with almost 73.000 miles with xreas and front leveling spacers I had two leaking shocks. Changed to 4600 at the front using the upper groove of the two available on the 4600 shock (no need for the spacers anymore, it is leveled with the back) and at the rear original Toyota Tokico shocks. 4600 were cheaper than oem at the front and oem were cheaper than the 4600 at the rear. Very close to the OEM ride. Perhaps just a tiny bit stiffer, barely noticeable. Part number on the 4600 is 24-121750 and at the rear 48530-35082.

For anyone asking for an update on this, just know this “kit” has blown multiple Tacoma engines. They are no longer going forward with it and it will never come out. The engine internals just can’t handle the boost!

I recently did this trail in my 2nd gen Tacoma on 33’s. Was definitely a challenge because of how steep and loose some parts are. 35’s and a front locker would have definitely been helpful.

I'm buying a Toyota Tacoma soon and I'm interested in What would be the best Shock to purchase mid to high-end suspension setups w/ UCA's. I want to do overlanding with minor jumps/hitting whoops and rock crawling. I'm looking to run 33s with my build not looking to run 35s at all in the future. I've been looking at emu bp51s but I'd like to know if Icon or Kings would be the better choice. Any feedback would be absolutely amazing as I'm just starting to learn about Overlanding + suspension ect… 😁

What a pain. I put in the SokieTech no drill struts. Easier to install and not in the way (like these would be) of my K&N Cold Air Intake.

I have a 23 Nissan frontier and it is set up the same way as the new Tacoma. It’s fairly annoying because if you remote start and get in and forget to push the brake and hit the start button before pushing in the button on the gear selector, it will shut off, and it’s very easy to forget to do that when the truck is already running.

I hope 12” isn’t too much because I have 22” travel on my 3rd gen lol

While the shared setup is appreciated, I use an inflatable tandem Kokopelli Packraft that I can pack.
